Research project No. DG20P02OVV001 financed by Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic was focused on concrete and masonry bridges of this type.
Author of the part of the project focused on concrete bridges. For the solution, a chronological survey of approximately 700 concrete bridges was set up (cooperation Helena Včelová). Then 210 of them were chosen, visited and documented in a catalogue. On the basis of information obtained by such a way, a methodology for evaluation of historical and structural value of this type of bridges was elaborated with the aim to find bridges, which should be protected as cultural monuments. This methodology, chronological survey and a catalogue serves as a basis for evaluation of bridges in individual practical cases.
The project was elaborated during previous employment (Faculty of Civil Engineering of the Czech Technical University in Prague).
