Povážská Bystrica, Slovakia, motorway bridge over Váh river

The motorway bridge is composed of two parallel structures of five spans of 50,0 + 64,5 + 96,0 + 56,0 + 40,0 m; because of a skew crossing with the river, arrangement of spans at the both parallel structures is opposite. The bridge has a continuous cast-in-situ box girder superstructure made of post-tensioned concrete. Two spans at each end of the bridge were cast on scaffolding prepared on easily accessible terrain, while the main span above the river was made by free cantilevering.
