Libice nad Cidlinou, bridge over Cidlina river

A single-span road bridge of the span length of 41,8 m over Cidlina river, built on the place of an older reinforced concrete structure of two spans of approx. 2 x 20,0 m. The superstructure is made of cast-in-situ prestressed concrete, with a through cross section. For a minimization of the depth of the cross section in an urbanized area, the superstructure of the new bridge is „extradosed“, at which prestressing tendons are lead out of the cross section to increase their efficiency. The first extradosed structure in the Chzech republic.
Aesthetical cooperation Vladimír Štulc.
